I find regular cooking oil works wonders at removing any oil based paint from hands etc without stripping your skin. Just rub in and then wash with soap.

Hi Rainy, as near as I can tell, coconut oil is the only oil we ought to ingest. So I do almost all of my cooking with it. I also use it as a moisturizer, feels great.

I never would have thought of coconut oil. Us non-seafaring types don’t keep that around usually. What do you do with it when you aren’t removing paint?

I’ve had great luck getting paint off of skin by using the pink Holy Cow Products spray. It’s CHEAP, totally organic, biodegradable, all that jazz. I’m getting to where I use it for anything and everything. LOL

Ohhhh… good tip. I haven’t been on a pirate ship lately, but I did walk through some white paint the other day while my husband was fixing my closet door and then I had to hop all the way to the bathtub on one foot to clean it off….

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Those look like pretty big feet to not think to wash them outside! I am sure they had plenty of elbow grease, as big as they are… you’d have been out of luck if it was a little pirate.

Good on ya for not ever asking WHY in the world they would do such a thing… those words have slipped out of my mouth at times, and I always regret them.
