Six Weird Things on my Table

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed

This morning I had a look around my dinning room table and thought to myself, “We are weird!”  The stuff is not terribly weird, just weird that it’s on my table and not put away where it belongs.  But some of it is truly weird.  Then I started noticing the numbers of weird things on my table and a song started playing in my head.  But only the last half of the song.  We’re not that weird!

And then after realizing that the weirdness was somewhat of a picture of our lives this week, I realized what I’ve done.  I have created my very first meme.  Now, I have participated in a few memes, but never before has it occurred to me to create one, and maybe never will again.  So, here you are.  The debut of my “Six Weird Things on my Table” meme.

Six loaves of freshly baked whole wheat bread.  I know you only see five loaves, I took the pics after lunch.

Five sets of socket wrenches.  The fellas tell me they will get this sorted out and put away … ummm, soon.

Four bottles of medicine.  Most of us have caught a cold, ugh, in the summer.

Three black swallowtail caterpillars in a jar.  Science on the hoof. :D

Two jars of herbal salve, to put on the mosquito bites received while wrangling caterpillars.

One teeny-tiny globe that really belongs in the dollhouse.

So, my meme, my rules. (use yer scary granny voice and say) he he he he he !

  • Any table will do.
  • Any number, descending order or not.
  • The things don’t even have to be weird, maybe unique, or maybe just out of place.
  • Pictures please.
  • No obvious set ups, unless it’s hilarious.
  • Tag some folks and link back here.

That’s easy enough, ‘eh?

Now, I will tag Keeley and Nancy.  I hope y’all are ready, with piles of weird stuff all over the house.

The rest of y’all are welcome to join in, I just didn’t want to put everybody on the spot.  But if you do, please leave a comment so we can come read all about it.

This was a fun meme to do!

  2. I was amazed at the difference in my photos once I began using the different settings vs the auto setting. Even if you don’t read the manual (I hate directions!), play with the settings & dials to see what happens.

  3. This was a fun one. Keeley tagged me. go head and check out my table!

  4. Okay, mine is up! This was an easy one for me – great idea! Thanks for tagging me!

  6. I can’t do this meme, I don’t own a camera!!!

    Unbelievable, I know.

I’d sure like to, though, but I’ll have fun enjoying everyone else’s posts on this!

    Take care!!

Oooh! What fun! Can I play, too? I don’t have a website and can’t provide photos so you’ll just have to take my word for it. My kitchen table is covered with:
~six dishes waiting to be washed
    ~four bottles of medicine
    ~two boxes of spark plugs
    ~one plastic tool box
    ~one socket wrench
~one book (A Daughter’s Inheritance by Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller)
~one box of cereal (Cocoa Pebbles)
~one box of crackers (Ritz Whole Wheat)
~a handful of nuts, bolts and screws

Hi Letisha, I do try to bake all of the bread for the family. The recipe I used for today’s bread can be found at http://www.thefamilyhomestead.com/wwbreadbosch.htm
This was the first time I have used this recipe but it came out great.
I plan to bake again on Thursday or Friday. I like to bake twice a week, however, I know some Pirates who think I should bake thrice in a week. Maybe I should, this bread is so good for us.

Well, I unfortunately don’t have the interesting items you have on your table, but I did post what I had. =)

What a fun meme. Question though, may I have a copy of your wheat bread recipe? It looks delicious. Do you make all your bread? How often do you have to make it? Thanks
