Well, the way the copywork books are designed is that children in the 1st – 3rd grades write in their books and the olders do not. I don’t use them that way. Aboard this ship only the Princess gets to write in books. For The Squid I write out his lessons for him, usually on the white board, and he copies them onto his own paper. Everyone else is old enough to copy from the book to their paper.

I just stumbled across these resources on PaperBack Swap. Unfortunately they weren’t available, but I think I did add one title to my wishlist. Good stuff, huh?
Are the books consumable, or do you make the kids write on separate paper?

Please keep this up! I need all the help I can get as I try to sort through the different styles of homeschooling. I’m just beginning my oldest, but have more and more questions as I look into it, rather than feeling like I have more and more answers.

I made my own copywork book this year for oldest (7 year old boy). I just used manuscript paper and wrote out some relevant sentences from Proverbs. Good for me, good for him!
