Bloggy Giveaways! Fall ’08

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed

Update: This giveaway is now closed!

Come back on Monday for a new one!

During the month of October I have had a giveaway every week.  This is not how I normally behave.  I normally have a giveaway once a month and it lasts all month long.  But this month was special.  This month I got a new look for my blog.

This is the last week of my weekly giveaways.  I’m thrilled that it just happens to coincide with the Bloggy Giveaways.

This week, I’m giving away a boxed set of DVDs from Vision Forum, How to Disciple Your Family: A Plan for Generational Victory (10 DVD set).

Just click on the image to read about these DVDs.

The Rules

  1. Only one entry per person.
  2. You may have a second entry if you blog about it.
  3. None of this “Enter me!” nonsense.  To enter leave a comment telling me your favorite traditional Thanksgiving dish.
  4. If you’ve never been here before take a few minutes and browse around, maybe you’ll like it here.
  5. This giveaway is limited to the continental 48.
  6. You may enter any time from now up until 5pm CDT  Friday, October 31st, 2008.

I love and devour GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE- but nobody else in the family really likes it! We all love not only the smell but also the actual eating of the turkey! There is something so homey about it – no? We would love to win this for our precious little blessings! This is a wonderful giveaway!
    In HIM,
    Renee

  3. Carrie says:

I have kind of a triple favorite. A bite of fresh juicy turkey, with homemade in the bird stuffing with gravy on top. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Even though it is my favorite it is closely followed by homemade sweet potatos with butter and brown suger, and pumpkin pie with a heaping scoop of whipped cream.

Your give away is great by the way.

    Carrie

I love to make a healthy dish and a bad dish. This year I will make steamed green beans with a garlic/olive oil saute plus I’ll make green bean casserole with all the fixin’s (cream, fried onions, etc). It always feels good to offer both types!

  10. Andrea says:

I love cranberry relish where you grate an entire orange (peel and all) with the cranberries and add sugar. Yum. I actually had a funny story while living in Russia. A Russian friend and I actually made the same exact relish and brough it to the same Bible study. We were shocked. Usually the cuisine is so different. She and I were convinced that it couldn’t be, but it was–orange and all!

  11. Shelly says:

Hi, I’d love to win this dvd set for my family and to share with other like-minded families in our church.
My favorite traditional Thanksgiving dish isn’t very traditional for other families most likely, but it’s one that we have always had…stuffed celery with cream cheese and green olives. I look forward to snacking on that while watching the Macy’s Parade. Then, at the main meal, I like the corn bread dressing best. Kathy

My mother always made a mandarin orange jello salad, with sherbet in it. It’s completely un-natural, and yet such a comfort food. Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter – we always had the mandarin orange jello.

Now that I’m all (mostly?) grown up with a family of my own, I actually bought an ancient copy of her old Jello Cook Book off Ebay so I could make it too!

We are originally from Texas, born and bred, moved to the mid-west last year at Thanksgiving as dh took a small pastorate up here. One of the new things we tried, a favorite up here, raisin pie, definately NOT on our list of favorites. Squash cassarole, or maybe sweet potato with the gooey marshmellow topping. Ok, we may just have to make those a little early this year! Here’s hoping we may get to travel home for the holiday! Nothing is better than Grandma’s traditional dishes!
