The Lazy Gardener

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed

There are a few benefits to getting a late start on the Fall garden.

  • I don’t get as HOT working in the yard, because it’s only 88° right this minute.  I know that’s still hot, but it’s not 98° .
  • The children think it’s fun since they’re not all sweaty.
  • My choices are limited to broccoli, too late for anything else.

We love our home grown broccoli.  In a few weeks these little babies will be great big yummy side dishes.

We planted 12 little transplants today.  Now we’ll wait a couple of weeks and plant 12 more.

I’m really gonna have to buy some claritin or something, ‘cuz Cannonball Jack and I are really gettin’ kinda gross in a “producing way too much mucus” kinda way.  Ah, gardening with allergies.  What a lovely life.

Carri, I would strangle in my own mucus if not for the neti pot, but Autumn can be a challenge. Although, I’m glad you find it entertaining. If I get really hard up for laughs I could just post a video of saline solution pouring out my schnoz. ;)
