Congratulations! You have been to to Ship Full O' Pirates over 100 times! Just thought you'd like to know.
Christmas!
I hope my recent bah-humbug-i-ness wasn’t too obvious. My Very Dear Hubby and 2 oldest Pirates have been working their very fingers to the very bone lately. I certainly don’t like to look a gift horse in the mouth but, I miss my family when I don’t see them and talk to them. Nothin’ wrong with that, but it has rather dampened my spirit lately.
But it’s over. The vacation is here. They are just workin’ this afternoon and that’s it ’til next week!
I don’t even know how to act today. Hubby took all but 2 of the children to work with him. I’m tellin’ ya. That man! He’s a keeper.
And the quiet in my house… amazing. Carri asked me, a few days ago, “Are your Pirates loud?” I thought I was being honest when I told her that the older ones are rather reticent, like their Dad. But, I think… is it just me? Or can y’all hear crickets, too? I’m glad I have some projects I can work on, ‘cuz, y’all, this is boring AND quiet.
The two children that are here are Cannonball Jack and The Princess. Those two have long been thick as thieves, so I’m on my own.
I have a crochet project to work on. I’m making a poncho for The Princess, I think I’ll be done before Christmas morning. She doesn’t suspect it’s for her because it’s not pink.
Before Cannonball Jack invited her to help make the tent in his room, she and I went into the kitchen and made some peanut-butter fudge. If you have the main ingredients for this, you should just go make some right now. This is so easy and DELICIOUS!
Easy and Delicious Fudge
Ingredients
* 1lb powdered sugar
* 1/2 cup cocoa
* 1/2 cup butter
* 1/4 cup milk
* 1/2 cup chopped nuts(or whatever, chocolate chips, peanut-butter chips, coconut, whatever)
* 1/2 cup peanut butter
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix 1lb powdered sugar and cocoa in a 9×9 microwave safe dish. Have your shortest child stir. Drop in 1/2 cup butter cut into pieces. Have your cutest child stir. Pour in 1/4 cup milk. Have your sweetest child stir. Microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbly. Have your willingest child stir. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped nuts, vanilla and peanut butter. Have your silliest child stir. Refrigerate for one hour, then cut into squares, and sit down and crochet for three hours until it’s time to make dinner. Wait, that last bit is just for me.

LOL at your fudge directions. Sounds good, though.
Mmm…that fudge sounds delicious! Unfortunately my poor little pirate is allergic to peanut butter!
Merry Christmas!
