I’ve couponed for years. But it took me some time to realize that yes, you will notice a huge difference in savings when you make attempts to match coupons with whatever is on sale that week.

PS–you don’t have to wait for the CVS card! Just give them your phone number at the register and they can look up your number that way.

I’ve been a couponer for about 5 years now and it has really helped me keep my debt-addled head above water. You are right–it is better to buy something on sale than to wait until you need it! It looks like you’re doing a great job with your stockpile.
I love the first of the year–it’s like Coupon Heaven, there are so many flyers in the paper!

Another beginner! I’m glad to know I’m not alone. You and I are doing the stores in opposite order. I had a CVS card and lost it. So, while I am waiting for the replacement card to come in the mail I am learning Wag’s.

I too took quite a while to digest how couponing really works. I made a CVS run this week and felt really good about my savings! I can’t wait to try again next week, and will add on Walgreens when I feel I’m getting CVS down pat. Glad to know they’re working out for you!

my family actually buys items from my stockpile – they realize that i got it for free. but buying it from me they don’t have to fight the crowds, be tempted to buy more than they need, and they don’t have to pay tax!
