The Well Dressed Coffee Mug

   Posted by: MotherHen   in Yarn!

Chattin’ with Faith the other day and she gave me a “brb, gotta re-heat my coffee.”

Now, Faith lives where it is very cold all winter long.  And she keeps tellin’ me how it’s 62° in her house.  Hard to relate to that, but I know I don’t like drinkin’ coffee that’s been in the m’wave once, much less twice or three times.  Yuk!

So, I sat me right down and crocheted up some coffee mug cozies for her.   I found patterns every where, but the ones I liked are here and here.

Faith requested orange yarn so she could spot it easily.  She has a big house, it could be anywhere.  Mine will be right next to my keyboard. (ahem)

Aren’t they cute?

I’ll play along this week, but don’t see Mr. Linky. My project is an everlasting (it seems) on-going one, so I post a picture only once every few months.

I love your cozies!! We too keep it at around 62 * in our house. I find myself drinking lots more hot drinks nowadays!
BTW-I’m a mom of 10, and really enjoy your Help for Growing Families theme. I don’t have a blog, so I can’t participate, but I enjoy reading everybody’s ideas. Thanks! Dawn in SC

Hi Monica,
I tend to modify patterns as I go, especially the mug cozy patterns, because it needed to fit a certain mug. But here is the pattern I started off with on that button one.

Why Julie, you simply must try it! It’s so enjoyable, and easy. Go see Monica’s post. She is somewhat of a beginner and has linked some great sites to learn how to crochet. She also linked some cool sites for easy, free patterns.

Love the cup warmers :) Thanks for the Mr.Linky to show what we’ve made. I linked to an older post when I made a sewing needle case from the sleeve of my daughter’s shirt (AFTER she’d grown out of it!!) I gave it away as a gift and now plan to make another with the other sleeve!
