Congratulations! You have been to to Ship Full O' Pirates over 100 times! Just thought you'd like to know.
If there were more hours in the day I could homeschool, un-school, and do laundry.
Cleaning the rest of the house would still have to wait.
If it weren’t for The Princess’ Language Lesson book mentioning bats I would have let that girl grow to adulthood without ever reading Stellaluna to her. (gasp!)
Having all these books in the house and not reading them is worse than not even having them at all. To not have them is just a simple problem that can be overcome with a few mouse clicks and a loud knock on the door by the UPS guy. To have these books and not read them teaches my children appathy, distain, and an ungrateful attude toward books.

I concur, Linda. I totally under utilize my older readers. And I usually let them choose what to read to her, and kids being kids, it is usually the same books over and over. I need to go through and pick some out for them.
So True. It seems to me I run out of hours in the day too. Sometimes, I just talk myself into realizing that we can’t have it all. Maybe that’s why I’m Eclectic in my style of teaching.
A little traditional work, goes a long way in helping keep storytime inline for us. (So does an older reader at times) :O)
Sincerely,
Linda
