This is a recipe from the Momys Cookbook.  And I didn’t change the name, it really is called Cowboy Coffee Cake.

You’ll need:

  • 2½ cups flour
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup butter

————————————-

  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs

Mix first 4 ingredients until crumbly.  Add remaining ingredients and mix well.  Pour into greased 9 x 13.  Bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Very easy, very yummy, very wholesome, very gone.

Slim and Sally Mae couldn’t wait for the coffee cake to bake, so this is what they started their day with.

The breakfast of champions, that’s leftover cornbread from last night, swimmin’ in milk.

Breakfast just can’t go wrong with words like coffee and cake in them.

We make this (doubled) several times a month. My Lambies all love it! It’s good enough to serve company.
