Finally, some common sense about this! I’m getting really sick of all the panic. 36,000/yr die from regular flu. It would make more sense to close schools and have newsbreaks every five minutes for the millions that have regular flu than this bug that’s only killed one person. (and everyone agrees that THAT would be crazy…it’s JUST the flu)
I agree with Anita, it’s just a vehicle to move the idea of socializing medine…boo on Washington!
My pediatrician was commenting on the ’76 epidemic just the other day. He said he had people lined up in his office for shots when his receptionist came in and told him of the news reports on deaths from the shots. Crazy world, but I do see this as a big toehold for national health care. Big Brother will take care of us…don’t worry!
“If only mothers might see how powerful for good or evil is their influence; how the affections and the mental powers may be molded by prayer and maternal love, and how the groundwork for the future of the child may be laid in its early training.” Isabel C Byrum 1911”
I would be most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves. ~Anna Quindlen
This whole time everyone’s been talking about swine flu I’ve been like “Meh, whatever”.
Is this the 1918 flu? No. People are not dropping by the tens of thousands.
So to Ron Paul I say “Amen. Tru dat” =)
