We love Suburbans, too. We had one given to us, fixed it up, and ended up calling it Babe the Blue Ox (or was that the tractor?) because it could sometimes out-pull our tractor! We also love craigslist - online yard sales!! Have a great day!

We just bought a Suburban last December. Our truck died. I LOVE it. My hubby & I fight over who gets to drive it. Considering he has a 1 hour commute each way, I usually win. ;-)

Who cares?

It's a manufactured crisis.

Oh, I don't have a problem with defending my 8 passenger vehicle to the child haters. Our over-all "carbon foot-print" is much lower, as a family, than most folks with 2 or 1 or even 0 kids.

I feel your joy! Yah... enjoy. I know it's currently not "in vogue" to have big cars but for those of us with large families it is a necessary evil. The DH was watching a science channel show on cars of the future over the weekend and they were all tiny and skinny. That's all well and good but where am I supposed to put the kids? Tie them on the roof? Attach 5+ side cars? Hood ornaments? Super glue? I myself am still thinking the Amish mode of horse and buggy might be our only option in the future.
