If the death is the buck then that would bring the breeding program to a grinding halt while we scramble to find a new daddy bunny. So, we have a pitch hitter right from the start. The manure is wonderful, it doesn't have to compost like ckicken or horse manure. We haven't bought them yet, but we will be getting Californians, New Zealands, or Floridas. All are large breed, meat rabbits. The other benefit is the manure for the garden. The money soon adds up! But long term it will be worth it! I see lots of folks have them and I a wondering what the benefits are? Are they pets? Are they meat rabbits? Are they to raise and sell? Just very curious about the whole thing.
