I have some really bad, time wasting, habits I have gotta change.
Part of my plan is to stop reading blogs, all except my very favorites.   That will drastically reduce the amount of time I spend here.
Another area is the facebook/twitter time warp. I’ll be logging in on Wednesday to read about MichelleB having her baby, but other than things like that I am just not gonna be there. That part won’t be too hard. I haven’t really gotten in the facebook groove, and twitter still baffles me.
This blog is gonna keep chuggin’ along, but at a little slower rate than recently.
I’ll be keepin’ busy with our un-cluttering, de-junking.   I might start a daily minimum # of items to get outta my house, like the gal at Junk Pyramid used to do.  Her # was 6 or 7 items a day.  I might re-adopt that plan, only x10.
Also, we have school during the Summer.  It’s just too hot to do anything fun in the afternoons, and I don’t relish the idea of my kids whiling away these Summer-time afternoons reclining on the sofa watching DVDs. So, I need to turn my attention to phonics and math and stuff.
You won’t notice my limited time here.  I hope I do.   I’ll let ya know how I’m doing.
bumblebee-flowerNow, what about you? Do you spend too much time gazing at your ‘puter screen? Are you gonna have school this Summer?  Are you in the middle of a de-junking project at your house?  I’d love to hear what’s going on at your house this Summer!

Yes, yes, and yes. I spend too much time on the computer(but I’m trying to cut down), we homeschool through the summer, and we’re in the middle of rearranging our house and Spring cleaning(we’re just a wee bit late). I got a little carried away this year and have a 15 x 55 foot garden so I’m sure we won’t be sitting around bored!

So nice to hear from a bird of like feathers! (or some other mangled saying!)

  3. I’m taking a break as well – just reading/skimming a few favorites and posting only when I feel like it… We also school through the summer, albeit on a lighter schedule. We’re trying to head outside in the mornings after breakfast to do yard stuff, then swim, then school inside during the HEAT. It’s tongue-hanging-out panting time here…

Good for y’all, Cyndi. It is very time consuming to live the intentional life, huh?

I’ve been on a I-diet for a while. I don’t post as often as I used to and I have a small list of blogs I read and an even smaller list that I comment on. Our summer is mostly taken up with gardening and active learning. (Hands on experiments/field trips/group reading.) But we do need to kick in with some book work to be ready for fall. We are video game free this summer and limit t.v./computer time.
