All my children write with their right hands but it turns out that Rowdy’s left eye is dominant and it’s ever so much easier for him to do certian things left handed.
This photo cracks me up because it looks like Hubs is making Rowdy shoot without looking. Actually he’s covering Rowdy’s left eye to see if he can shoot while using his right eye. He can.
But this next photo is the one that blows me away. Most true lefties don’t even shoot lefty. But my boy can shoot lefty or righty and with either eye. What a guy!
And just in case there are any of you who have reserved judgement on whether or not we’re rednecks…
Yeah, that’s my baby girl shootin’ the pellet gun that Hubs got me for an early birthday present.
Slim thinks that maybe by the time he’s ten years old he’ll be strong enough to aim a real rifle (a .22). but until then he’s happy to shoot Mama’s gun.

Here’s Tex shootin’. Trust me, he’s got about 10 knives on ‘im, he’s just not sportin’ his on the outside like Hank.

I definitely recognized KimC and The Boy… I’m just glad you didn’t ask us to ID Kim’s daughters in the pictures… even after following her blog since last year, I still have trouble knowing which girl is which in that household

And, yes, I have seen the pink guns and the pink knives and the pink cammie-jammies. I would so go in for that, but the fellas (Hubs included) would laugh Sally Mae and me to scorn if we ever bought any of that girlie kind of equipment. Their opinion, “Girly stuff is fine for girls, but guns and knives and cammos ain’t girly, so cut that out!” So my gun is black and my knife is unpainted stainless steel and I just have no need for “normal color” cammos.
Oh, it looks like I commented anon again. Sorry. I forgot to mention that I’m a lefty but the only thing I do lefthanded is write. So far I have one child that is a lefty as well.
Yup! Kim C. and “The Boy”! How fun! I love that pic of “Sally Mae!” I family that shoots together stays together. Okay, I guess I’ll have to learn to shoot. I’ve only tried once on an indoor range and I was miserable at it. I’ve always said the safest place to be when I’m shooting is right by the target. LOL! I did see a cute pink air gun in the latest Cabela’s catelog. Hmmmm… Generally I’m not a pink lover but what woman can resist a pink gun?

Yep- y’all are rednecks. But I’d love to be out there with you. Except that you should be here. The weather is a glorious 68* right now.
I’ll have you know that I have a 100% accuracy rate with my gun. (A real one… EP works nights so it is a safety thing…) shot it once, hit dead center in the bullseye, figure there is nowhere to go but down and haven’t shot again.
