Manly Men

I found a great resource for helping sons to learn  manly behavior.  It’s called The Art of Manliness.  Give it a read.  It’s not written from a Christian perspective, but it is a wholesome, family oriented work.

Today we enjoyed reading a post about physical exercise, specifically push-ups.

Boys need encouragement from other men and boys.  I love that my boys get this encouragement from their Dad, each other, the men and boys of our church, and the men and boys they work with.

But we have to understand that our culture bombards their senses with feminist propaganda from all directions.  So we have to fight back at every opportunity.

Thanks for the link. Raising a manly man is something I work hard on as my son is blessed/cursed with being the only boy and has four sisters (so far).

Great link! Thanks for sharing. There is a shortage of true men out there, and I for one am determined to make a MAN out of my little guy.

I don’t know whose I saw first, either Thomas or Perry. Very worth while. The boys have tried a few. Some look very advanced. Of course Tex tried those, like the Superman and the Spiderman. I love the line at the end of the Aztec Push up video. “I can do 100 of these, but you don’t have time to watch!”

I saw this too. Did you find this link when Perry posted it to facebook?
How many have your boys tried so far?
