Well, it wasn’t actually a miss, per se, because Rowdy did in fact hit the patio with as much of him (including his noggin) as was available.  It was a pogo sticking accident.

We call him Rowdy for a reason.  The boy loves to… well… be rowdy.  He is, by far, the most active of all my Cowboys.  But, today he is taking a break from being active to nap on the sofa and take pain medications.

Pogo sticks are grand fun and VERY good exercise, however, they do not mix well with moist, muddy parts of patios.  It went right out from under him and he landed square on his back and elbows and then, of course, because no day is complete without a possible concussion, his noggin.

Not to worry though.  How many of you knew that Hubs was a medic in the Army?  How handy is that for me and this bunch of ROWDY COWBOYS?!

So, Rowdy has already had the flash light shined into his peepers, and I’m happy to say things look perfectly normal.

And now it’s raining!  We’ve had drought conditions for so long that it’s almost a party when it rains.  It has rained so much in the last 45 minutes that my back yard is (almost) one giant puddle.  Kinda like a great big, redneck swimmin’ pool!

And the solar dryer is having a day off and getting it’s lines rinsed.  I’m glad that my electric dryer is still able (sorta – it takes 2 or 3 cycles).  Laundry is goin’ s-l-o-w-l-y today.

This is certainly not a typical day “back at the ranch”.

    Hi Keeley,

Although Rowdy got really bunged up, he seems so much better today. I think he may be ready to carry on as usual. I guess I should watch out, the boy is back in action!
Thanks for asking about the rabbits. So far, so good. Their shelter has been sufficient. If we get a real, blowing, all-out storm I will have to cover them with a tarp, but we haven’t had a storm like that lately. And with our cooler temps (really not too bad, high of 84 today) they seem down-right happy! :D

Poor Rowdy! I hope he feels better soon.

How are the bunnies faring in the rain?

    Glad Rowdy wasn’t damaged. :-)
