Haircut Day

Posted by: MotherHen   in Haircuts, Homemaking, My Pirates, Sweet Sally Mae

It’s been forever since I gave the Cowboys haircuts.  And the last several many times I gave them haircuts I didn’t do them all on the same day week.

So, just for track keeping purposes I am posting about it.  And to make it more interesting than just a boring journal entry – “Today, I gave all the boys haircuts.”  I decided it would be a grand idea to also include pictures and witty prose to accompany the boring journal entry.

If anybody knows where I can pick up some witty prose for cheap let me know.  But here are the photos.

From left to right, top to bottom:

Tex, 16; Hank, 15; Dusty, 13; Rowdy, 11; Slim, 9, Sally Mae, 6 goin’ on 30.

No, Sally Mae didn’t get a haircut today, but she likes makin’ monkey shines for the camera.

And because I couldn’t decide which picture of Sally Mae is the silliest…

Since I know you wish I would reveal my secret for getting those super, colgate smiles, I’ll tell you.  When they sit down for their photo I have them tell me a funny movie line.  Some of the kids had to be given a line but the biggest laugh came when Dusty sat down and said with perfect deadpan, “Jojoba.”  We just about rolled on the floor, and due to my extreme skills with the (ahem)  point and shoot camera, the photo I got during all that hilarity is this…

He looks like someone is standing on his foot, huh?

Oh well, trust me, we had fun.

btw – Who knows what movie Dusty was quoting?
