It started out like a regular day. I had high hopes to get a lot done. I blew some time on the ‘puter (before breakfast!) and then got the ball rolling.
We had a good breakfast. Oatmeal and muffins.
Then I had a “hormonal moment” of grumpy-ness. Not over the top, but still, no fun. I think the thing that bull-dozed me over the edge was that I’m not making much progress on the cobweb situation. And I happened to mention the floors to Tex.
That boy got busy and took apart the whole family room, cleaned it and put it back together again. He even took the curtains down and washed ‘em! I am sitting in a room SO CLEAN IT SPARKLES! I may go blind from the cleanliness in here!
Then I gave him a long overdue haircut and he gave him a long overdue shave. Now he looks as smart as my family room!
Win-win, right?
Well, guess what the littles were doing while I gave Tex his haircut.
Go ahead guess.
Nope!
They were makin’ the huge-est, wonderful-est, I-have-tears-in-my-eyes-from-all-the-love-they-put-into-it patio sized love note for me!
Tex had to get on the roof to get a photo of the whole thing!

Hi April! Glad to “meetcha”!
That’s fantastic! What wonderful pirates you have. =D
Very awesome! You are doing a wonderful job!
I thank God for giving my kids the ability to love me in spite of hormonal moments. Looks like yours have that awesome ability, too!
That was so sweet of your kids! I love that our kids know when we are having a *moment* and can love us in spite of it.
This is my first time leaving a comment on your blog. I don’t remember how I found you, lol, but you are now bookmarked
How sweet! Okay I was told my comment was too short and to lengthen it. SO I did.
WOW!! You were having a great day (aside from the hormonal moment). What a blessing! I know I have a bunch of girls, and I shouldn’t have to ask, but…could you send Tex my way? They’ll clean the floor, but I’ve never had one (voluntarily) pull apart a room, clean the floor, and put it all back together; AND wash the curtains? Again – WOW! And that picture says all the rest. Love it! Can’t complain too much though; Bree cooked my all time favorite supper tonight.
Awww… what wonderful kiddos you have.
I vote you keep them, and that you change them back to Pirates!!!
Awwww, that’s just so cute!
How wonderful Tex cleaned your family room. Wonder if he wants to come do mine? =)
