I used to make pancakes until nobody would answer the question,

“Who wants more?”

Now I have to cut ‘em off at 6 each or my back gives out from standing there at the stove for so stinkin’ long!

Actually, I usually don’t make pancakes.  Only for Holidays!

But I taught my tortilla warmers a new trick!  They’re nice big tortilla warmers, but they only hold about 6 or 7 pancakes.  That’s ok, ‘cuz I have two warmers.  One for the table and one for the kitchen.  Worked out pretty well.

And this stuff?  Wow!

I’ll never go back to the corn syrup again.  This Maple Syrup was wonderful!  Thanks, Faith!

I don’t make pancakes, either, but my kids do. The 13 yo (Slim’s older twin) and my 10 yod make great pancakes. We also make a great homemade syrup. The ratio is 2:1 of sugar and syrup. We add a little vanilla and/or a little maple flavoring and it is delicious. Keep leftovers in the fridge to reheat! So easy to make and the hot syrup is really good on pancakes, waffles or biscuits and melts the butter, too!!

Funny I never thought to teach the Cowboys to make pancakes. What is the matter with me? I think I’ll fix that glitch next week, we might have pancakes every day for a while. I need to find a good whole wheat pancake recipe.
Good idea about the homemade syrup! That’s a ton more frugal than the real deal, except my maple syrup was a gift!

Yeah, teach them! My sister and one of my younger brothers do it a loooooottttt. They make them on a big griddle that we got a few years back. You can cook like 10 at a time. Works great. Here’s something like we have…though we didn’t get it at Macy’s (I think Wal-Mart or Target)

Hi Libby!
That griddle looks perfect!
(The link is broken. I tried to repair it, but Macy’s has some weird bit that won’t allow the actual page to be part of the link. So, I just went to the part of the link that works and used the search bar to find “big griddle” in case anybody else wants to have a look.)
I did find some recipes for Whole Wheat pancakes. Now I just have to buy the right kind of wheat berries, then we are gonna have some Whole Wheat Pancake makin’ Cowboys!
Here’s the link to the recipe!

We have a griddle just like that. Got it when it was on sale at Kohls for $24. My hubby is making pancakes on it tonight. :)
It is a wonderful griddle, and I highly recommend it. We use it about once a week.
