My boys have some books for sale!
These books are from the clearance store in the Vision Forum warehouse. They have minor dings and/or smudges. They’re deeply discounted.
This week I have the following books available.
- Duncan’s War by Douglas Bond
- Soda-Pop Rockets by Paul Jarvis
- The dog Crusoe by R.M. Ballantyne
- Gascoyne by R.M. Ballantyne
- American Dictionary of the English Language by Noah Webster 1828
For prices, ordering details and a photo or two go to my book blog, Good Reads.
If there is a particular book that Vision Forum carries that you would like to purchase, just let me know in the comments (over at Good Reads). Ya never know! It may be sittin’ right here on my desk just waiting it’s turn.

When the boys were little I read many adventure novels to them. I figured if it was over their heads then they’d just have to listen to them again when they were older. I think it’s good for them to listen to books that are a bit over their heads. We usually sell our kids cognitive abilities way short. None of the books listed in this post would be inappropriate for a child of any age. Hope that helps.
What ages would you recommend the adventure novel for read-aloud appropriateness? My son just turned 5 and we’ve been reading Narnia books and Great Illustrated Classics. I’ve seen these books at VF before but I wasn’t sure if he needed to be older to be interested or not.
