Welcome to Fit as a Farmhand!

This is my weekly linky post for fitness and/or weight loss.  I hope you’ll join in!

Weight Loss

No change from last week.

Exercise

I have been using the Walk Away the Pounds one mile walk.  I haven’t been as diligent as I should on this one.  Only walked twice since last week.

Diet

I’ve had only spotty success here too..  Which is a crafty way to say I’ve had several cheats.

Want the explanation reason excuse?   We’ve been sick.  Not all of us, but the three littles and I have had a bad tummy thing this week.  I know, you’d think that with a bad tummy I might drop a pound or so.  I never have been one to lose weight while ill.  (The curse of an iron stomach.  I can, and do, eat anything and often at the wrong times.)

So, I’m looking forward to enjoying a bit more success in following my plan and seeing some sort of payoff on the scale next week.

Sorry to be a downer, just keeping it real.

Obviously I don’t have all the answers!  But I found a nifty blog that seems to have some of the answers.  It’s called Weight Loss Success Stories. Every post has info relevant to weight loss.  I enjoyed reading what Isadora had to say about drinking more water and a gazillion other weight loss issues.   She’s been blogging there for over four years, so there’s a ton of info waiting for us to glean from.  (I don’t know, does that qualify as a weight loss pun?)

Now it’s your turn.  I hope you’ve had more success than I have this past week.

If you need instructions on how to link up, you can read my instructions here.

And you know it would make me smile to see my button in your sidebar!

So, if I don’t actually change anything will I lose weight? (Yes, sarcasm…)

Well, change your clothes, at least. And maybe changing your hair style would make a difference. (snort!)

What? Should I not be wearing my husband’s sweatshirt and my old stretch pants? LOL!

Good luck on your efforts!

I must ask, as I don’t have any children yet – when are littles no longer considered littles?

Hi Michele.
I think a lot of folks consider age 10 to be the cut off. But, right now, at our house, there are some pretty tall Cowboys (read: already had that famous teen age growth spurt) and then there are my littles. I’m sure that Rowdy (age 11) would LOVE to be counted as a BIG, but it’s not his time yet. When I line ‘em all up you can see the obvious break. I should take a photo of that!

Yes – take a photo while you can – I’ve just about missed out, as Bree is almost as tall as Ri now.
And I understand about the not losing weight while you’re sick, because you have an iron stomach. I’m like that too – the last stomach virus that ran through our house was on it’s second trip though all other 7 people before I succumbed to it. Also, I never had morning sickness (yay!) when I was pregnant. In fact, the only time I’ve lost weight was – get this, no logic here – when I was pregnant. Yep, that’s right – only gained a total of 16lbs with the biggest (a little over 10lbs), so I came out weighing less, with almost all of them – the last was the biggest loss considering I only gained 5lbs during the pregnancy and she weighed 7. I guess if I could have just stayed pregnant ALL the time, I’d still weigh what I did when I was 16.
