We sing this song every April 1st. What a fun way to celebrate a silly day.
Let’s see, do I have any silliness to report today?
Why, yes, yes I do.
It’s like a game.
See if you can match the right question with the right answer.
- How many gerbils live in my house?
- How many Butterfly larvae live in my house?
- How many rabbits in my backyard?
- How many birds in my front room?
- How many snakes live in the den?
- How many tarantulas live in my dining room?
- A. 14
- B. 4
- C. 1
- D. 60 (?!?!)
- E. 12
- F. 3
You only get one hint.

I know you’re going to answer soon anyway, but I’m kind of hoping the only thing you have 60 of is the butterfly larva, and that the next largest number would be the gerbils. Just wondering whether or not these two things are kept on hand to feed a couple of the other pets? BTW Ri wanted to tag both the snakes and the tarantulas with 1 (her personal preferrence being 0 – but hey, she doens’t have to live there).
Oh, I guess now’s as good as any. I’ll take some photos and write a post. Look for it in a couple of hours.
When do we get the answers!?
Hi Christina! You’re tied for first place with Melodie! You got two right!
Ok Mother Hen, here is my guess…
1. A
2. B
3. D
4. E
5. F
6. C
Love this little game. It is fun and also a neat way to get to know you a bit more!
Christine
Melodie, so far, is the front runner, with two correct answers.
Btw, Melodie, my Hubs used to own a pet shop here in SA, and he also used to work at a different pet shop here, so maybe we know each other. What was y’all’s part in the pet industry?
And maybe, what kind of reptiles?
Sorry, Melanie, none of those are correct.
okay, just a wild guess:
1.a, 2.d, 3.b, 4.e, 5.f, 6.c
We used to have a pet business so I think its awesome you have such a collection of pets. We still have over 30 reptiles in our house, some of which we are still trying to find homes for, interested?
oh, and i like the game, cute idea!
Ok. Here’s my swagger at it.
1-E. 2-D. 3-B. 4-A. 5-C. 6-F
Wow! Hard to believe, Cyndi, but you only got one right.
Okay, Here I go:
1. A 2. D 3. E 4. B 5. F 6. C
How’d I do?
